About Sameer Kumar
I am Sameer Kumar, an artist from Banaras Hindu University. Based in Varanasi, I work as an Indian modern and contemporary artist.
My artistic practice is deeply inspired by the streets, ghats, and spiritual atmosphere of Varanasi. Through my work, I explore the connection between tradition and contemporary expression, blending elements of modern art with the cultural essence of everyday life.
Each painting reflects my observation of urban rhythms, human emotions, and the timeless character of Varanasi, interpreted through a modern artistic vision.
Every work is original and one-of-a-kind. No prints, no reproductions — just the painting, the canvas, and the story it carries.
I paint what I see, but more importantly, what I feel. If a painting makes you stop and look, even for a moment — it has done its work.
